On January 4, 2025, the Touch of Hope Foundation successfully hosted the second
edition of its New Year Party & Health Screening in Adjiringanor, bringing together
community members, volunteers, and healthcare professionals for a day of celebration
and care.
This initiative, which first took place in 2023, continues to make a lasting impact
by ensuring that families, especially children, start the year with both joy and
good health. The event was filled with laughter, games, and entertainment, creating
a festive atmosphere for the children. Beyond the fun, our dedicated health team
provided free medical check-ups, screenings, and consultations, ensuring that
residents received much-needed healthcare services. The smiles on the children’s
faces and the gratitude from families reinforced our commitment to building
healthier, happier communities.
On January 11, 2025, Touch of Hope Foundation partnered with OKB Hope Foundation to
host a free health screening for the residents of Korle Gonnor at the La Area
Apostolic Church. This initiative was aimed at improving healthcare access for both
adults and children in the community, many of whom face challenges in receiving
regular medical check-ups.
With a dedicated team of volunteer healthcare
professionals and support staff, we were able to screen over 200 individuals,
assessing key health indicators such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, malaria
status, BMI, and general wellness. The event also provided medical consultations and
education on preventive healthcare practices, ensuring that community members left
with both medical support and valuable health knowledge.
At Touch of Hope Foundation, we believe that every act of kindness—no matter how small—can create a lasting impact. On 26th December 2024, we had the privilege of partnering with Malluchi Boateng, a generous friend of the foundation, to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. As part of his birthday celebration, Malluchi chose to give back in a meaningful way by donating 10,000 cedis along with essential supplies to aid in the care of premature and critically ill newborns. This contribution will help improve neonatal healthcare delivery, ensuring that these little warriors receive the best possible start in life. Together, let’s give hope where it’s needed most!
